Pb Batteries Rail Carriage Lighting Batteries

Pb Batteries can offer carriage lighting batteries to suit your needs. At Pb Batteries we are able to use our rail knowledge of over 30 years to make sure you are given the correct battery for your application backed up with one of the highest standards of service from our technical staff and mobile service engineers.

One of our customers completely renovates their carriages. The carriages go through a full refurbishment, stripped completely down to the chassis and rebuilt with authentic materials according to the original designs. New batteries are fitted to BR spec and then the carriages are put into service. As you are able to see from the picture the standard of refurbishment is exceptionally high. The batteries are 2v cells making a 24v system for each carriage from 255Ah to 450Ah to run the lighting and they are charged by dynamo from below the carriage.

In respect of carriage lighting again we can supply cells complete in wood crates with links and shrouds or where cases are reusable we can supply cells with the appropriate links and shrouds. All batteries supplied by Pb Batteries are manufactured within Europe and come with a full manufacturer’s warranty and are specified accordingly. Carriage lighting batteries are specified according to BR1, BR2 and up to BR8.

Chargers

Pb Batteries chargers are available to suit all rail applications, and carriage lighting most commonly uses 24v. All other voltage ranges are available and special voltage ranges can be catered for, just ask out technical staff for more details. We have a range of Low energy consumption high frequency chargers that can save you money every time you recharge, for real life examples and examples using your application and figures just contact us.

Service

Pb Batteries can supply full on site services, our fully trained technicians with mobile workshops are available to investigate battery or charger issues, install batteries and charger, and to give advice and technical information to suit your needs. We have examples of our work up and down the country and probably have worked on some Rail equipment you know, just ask us to see our vast knowledge of the Rail Industry.
