We know that maintaining your battery can be a time consuming job, we at Pb Batteries can help reduce the time you need to monitor, check, and water the batteries you have. From simple topping equipment through to fully automated topping systems, complete or as spare or replacement parts.

When you need to top your battery the days of a funnel only being available are long gone, several levels of automation are available.

Blinkie

A simple LED light that blinks green when the levels are correct and turns to Red when the battery requires topping. This will reduce you checking time and reduce the risk of injury by not having to flip the lids on the battery and visually look in to the cell to check the fluid level. Just a glance to see the colour of the Blinkie and the time is saved over putting goggles, gloves and flipping all the lids.

Flexi Topper

A dew pumps on the handle and this pressurised the container, you are then able to control the feed of the deionised water with the leaver on the nozzle. This will allow you to monitor the flow rate and correctly top the battery, keeping the battery well maintained. The Flexi Topper is also available to use with the automatic topping system BFS (see BFS below). They are light weight and very easy to use and we always carry these in stock for quick delivery. BatCart

The BatCart takes away the need to pump up manually the pressure container as the BatCart is powered by a small pump and a rechargeable. The BatCart can be supplied with a nozzle or with the fitting to be connected to the automatic topping system BFS & BFS with Gas venting (See Below). The topping nozzle that is available for the BatCart is fitted with a collar that is adjusted to the correct height to allow the nozzle into the cell to the correct level. The Deionised water is then pumped through the nozzle into the cell and the level rises until it reached the nozzle and the feed is then stopped.

We would recommend this option for 5 or more batteries. The BattCart is a powered version of the Flexi Topper on wheels. The power comes from a rechargeable battery supply built in and powers a pump to supply the nozzle. A far more accurate way of topping a battery than judging the level by eye. The BatCart is a portable wheeled trolley allowing easy manoeuvrability that is a durable machine to aid you to top your batteries at any location on site. BFS

Battery Filling System is an automatic system to top your batteries extremely accurately every time. The vent caps on the battery are removed and the BFS with the correct floats are inserted in there place. The BFS is connected between each cell with pipe in series, blanked at one end and a connector attaché to the other end. This end allows the Flexi Topper or BatCart to attach to the BFS and fill the system with water. The water flows through the pipes and the BFS, the floats within the BFS rise with the water level in the cell and shut off at the correct level. This can be seen on the BFS lid through the viewing window that the white plunger has risen to the window. This allows for accurate topping of the battery with no flipping of lids no splashing of water and acid, always to the correct level. In our experience and battery industry experience the correct topping of a battery is one of the major factors in the longevity of the batteries life. BFS with Gas Venting

The topping system is the same as the above BFS system with the added benefit of Gas Venting. This is particularly useful for batteries in confined areas such as some boats, electric vehicles and confined battery rooms. The Gas venting is piped similar to the watering piping with a gas filter on the termination of the pipe. This will stop the build up of the gases that can be dangerous to breathe and explosive. De-Ionised Water
