2v Cells for a Narrowboat

Pb Batteries can accommodate the supply of 2v cells in the capacity you need for your narrowboat battery application. The 2v deep cycle cell has a distinct advantage over a leisure battery. The leisure battery has a discharge value of about 50% and the life expectancy of 2 – 4 years. Whereas the 2v deep cycle cell is designed to be discharged to 80% and have a life expectancy of 2 – 3 times of that of a leisure battery. Example :- 100A/H leisure battery has 50 useable amps and as opposed to 100A/H 2v deep cycle that has 80 useable amps. The 2v deep cycle for electric propulsion gives far wider range of capacities than can be gained using a leisure battery FROM 84–1860 Ah.



Monobloc Batteries for a Narrowboat

Where space does not allow for 2 v cells, a monobloc battery can be your solution and at Pb Batteries we will be able to advise for your requirements. 6v – 12v cyclic monoblocs flooded are predominantly used for cyclic use domestic electrics and electric propulsion for the smaller craft. The Pb batteries supplied 6v – 12v cyclic GEL is used where restrictions within enclosed areas where the build up of gas would be a hazard. These monoblocs are available with capacities FROM 35-370 Ah

Narrowboat Battery Chargers

Batteries for Narrowboats Shore based chargers or on board chargers are available, from 50Hz to low energy consumption high frequency taking energy saving to new levels. Whereas the charging systems of narrowboat domestic is commonly catered through the alternator or via the inverter system, there are times when shore based 240v systems are available. Onboard chargers are available dependent on the availability of AC supply and we can offer deep cycle chargers including low energy chargers.
